Outreach & Education

Crisis care saves lives today, but education changes lives for generations. We bring workshops, awareness campaigns, and prevention education to schools, businesses, churches, and community gatherings across Accomack and Northampton counties.

Ending Abuse Starts With Prevention.

Where You’ll Find Us on the Shore

Normalizing the Conversation Across Our Peninsula

Abuse thrives in silence and shame. That’s why ESCADV goes directly into our Eastern Shore community to break the stigma surrounding domestic and sexual violence.

You’ll frequently see our team tabling at local farmer’s markets, health fairs, county community days, and faith-based festivals. We provide free informational resources, safe discreet contacts, and educational materials to let our neighbors know that support is always within reach.

Tailored Workshops & Speaking Engagements

We offer custom, interactive presentations tailored to your group’s specific needs, timeframes, and audiences.

1. For Schools & Youth Groups

  • Teen Dating Violence Prevention: Recognizing healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, setting digital boundaries, and safe peer intervention.
  • Consent & Respect: Age-appropriate workshops focused on mutual respect, healthy communication, and body autonomy.

2. For Businesses & Employers

  • Domestic Violence in the Workplace: Abuse doesn’t stay at home—it affects employee safety, attendance, and mental health. We train managers and HR teams to recognize subtle warning signs and support employees navigating crisis.

3. For Faith Communities & Civic Clubs

  • Supporting Survivors in Your Pews & Neighborhoods: Equipping faith leaders and community volunteers with compassionate, trauma-informed tools to respond when a neighbor confides in them.

4. For Healthcare & First Responders

  • Trauma-Informed Care & Support: In-depth overviews of domestic and sexual violence dynamics, referral pathways, and best practices for supporting victims in crisis.
